In the News: Dr. Vershon Aids iGEM project

Genetic Engineers at Rutgers Society is a student organization founded to develop the University’s status as a synthetic biology research institute. This summer, some of its undergradute members including Anish Vaghela and Joseph Ibrahim formed a team to enter the International Genetically Engineered Machine (iGEM) competition. Dr. Andrew Vershon, principal investigator and Co-Director of the Summer Scholars Program here at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology, provided the iGem team with lab space and equipment to use over the summer.
