WSSP's Levin named district Teacher of the Year

Bayonne's 'Teacher of the Year' puts science and her students first

Stroll into Holly Levin's molecular biology class and you'll encounter a fascinating mix of questions-and-answers, lecture and valuable pep talks. Take for instance the points Levin made yesterday when BHS senior Irine Bekhit presented the model for the protein structure she developed.  "You have to be not only willing to talk about your protein, but ready to talk about it (with confidence)," she said, adding in the next minute, "You made this -- be proud of it." 

Levin and her students are participant in the current cohort of Waksman Summer Scholars Program at Waksman Institute.
