May 8 - May 11, 2013, New Brunswick, NJ USA
International Symposium on Chloroplast Genomics and Genetic Engineering (ISCGGE) is a international conference series focusing on the broad area of chloroplast genomics and genetic engineering, with specific emphasis on the biotechnology potential of the plant chloroplast from a multi-disciplinary perspective.
This meeting in New Brunswick, NJ, is the 3rd of a series, following successful meetings in Changchun, China (December 7-9, 2007) and Maynooth, Ireland (June 20-23, 2010). The symposium will bring together a wide range of international researchers investigating both the basic and applied aspects of chloroplast genomics and genetic engineering. The symposium will provide an excellent opportunity for public research institutions as well as biotechnology industries to present their research, products, technologies, and vision for the future. The program of the three-day meeting will cover: genomics and evolution; gene expression, technical advances, production of pharmaceuticals & industrial enzymes, metabolic engineering, agronomic applications and applications in microalgae.
The Conference in New Brunswick is organized by Pal Maliga (Chair) and supported by Ralph Bock (Vice-Chair) and an International Advisory Committee consisting of Debashish Bhattacharya, Jihong Liu Clarke, Henry Daniell, Anil Day, Manuel Dubald, Maureen Hanson, Robert Jansen, Ted Klein, Steve Mayfield, Jackie Nugent, Jeffrey Staub and Jeremy Timmis.
Registration and Abstract submission will be open December 15, 2012.
